Dead or Alive: Kasumi 04

WARNING: This article contains spoilers. Please read at your own risk!

Kasumi was eventually able to kill Raidou and avenge her brother Hayate after winning the first Dead or Alive tournament. However, she was captured by the tournament’s Executive Committee (DOATEC) who then created a clone of her known as Kasumi Alpha. Although she managed to escape and defeat her clone in the process, she was not allowed to return to her village because as a rule, a dishonored ninja could never rejoin their clan.

Dead or Alive: Kasumi 03

The compassionate older half-sister to Ayane, Kasumi is a highly skilled kunochi fighter who often expresses a desire to avoid confrontation. She values her family and seeks to return home in peace once she avenges her brother Hayate. Kasumi doesn’t like seeing people suffer at the hands of her skills and often shows mercy even to her enemies.

Dead or Alive: Ayane 04

Along with her burning hatred over Raidou, the man who ruined her life by creating it in the first place, Ayane envies her half-sister, Kasumi, for being treated like a princess while Ayane was treated like dirt. Ayane then honed her skills to unbelievable heights in her attempt to make others see she is more than the “demon child” they make of her. Her former master’s death makes her the strongest ninja of the Hajin Mon, the dark side of the Mugen Tenshin clan.

Dead or Alive: Ayane 03

Ayane was born as a result of Raidou raping Kasumi’s mother, Ayame. Although she was allowed to stay in Mugen Tenshin, she was always looked down on or generally ignored by many of the clan. Ayane admired her half-brother, Hayate as a way of increasing her self-esteem and lifting her sadness. She is known to have some connections with Ryu Hayabusa since he befriended Hayate and the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan.

Another awesome cosplay from Winter Comiket 2010! I really love cosplays of alternate costumes rather than the original designs. I just wonder which series this was first used in? Thanks to James for sending this!

Dead or Alive: Lei Fang 02

Six years before the start of the first tournament, Lei Fang was saved by martial artist, Jann Lee, from a bunch of thugs. Although grateful, Lei Fang felt that she could have handled the situation by herself. She then mastered the art of Tai Chi Quan in order to prove her strength to Jann Lee.
