Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Kaname Madoka 04

If this is another Luka cosplay that I don’t know of, I think I just might cry. Then again, I’m not a huge fan of Luka’s songs, so I guess it can’t be helped that these end up in the unknown section of Cosplay Holic.

I just hope the Luka fans won’t kill me for saying all that! Thanks to Julianne for sending this in!

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Kaname Madoka 03

Madoka’s kindness is one of the main reasons why Akemi Homura is so drawn to her. According to the Drama CD “Memories of You”, Madoka became a Magical Girl in the first timeline in order to save a cat that had been run over by a car. She was also very kind to Homura who was being bullied at the time. It was also revealed in the CD that whenever Madoka made a contract to become a Magical Girl, she became more confident as it gave her a sense of purpose. However, Homura’s interventions during the anime’s timeline prevented this change.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Akemi Homura

Akemi Homura is a magical girl who appeared to Kaname Madoka in her her dreams the day before she transferred to Madoka's school. She is beautiful, mysterious, and excels both academically and athletically, making her popular in school despite her awkward personality. Homura was later revealed to be from another timeline where she was a shy and weak transfer student before becoming a magical girl.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Tomoe Mami and Kaname Madoka

Tomoe Mami and Kaname Madoka are the only Puella Magi known to have no marks on any of their fingernails. Akemi Homura, Sakura Kyoko, and Miki Sayaka all have marks on their left middle fingers which match the emblem of their respective Soul Gems. Although it would appear strange, it was clarified to be no more than a production error as Homura, Kyoko, and Sayaka do not bear these marks on every single one of their shots in the anime.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Kaname Madoka

A 14-year-old girl who comes from a loving family, Kaname Madoka's life changes when she encounters the Puella Magi, Akemi Homura, and the familiar Kyubey, who offers to transform her into a Puella Magi. She sees herself as someone who does not have any special qualities or talents, and after seeing Tomoe Mami fight against witches, Madoka decided she wanted to be a Puella Magi as well. She is kind, gentle, and does not like to fight, wishing instead for everyone to get along.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Tomoe Mami

A Puella Magi contracted by Kyubey, Tomoe Mami is a third year student at Madoka’s school who lives alone in a penthouse after her parents’ deaths. She has the ability to produce an almost-infinite amount of flintlock rifles which appears to be similar to Tanegashima. She also uses ribbons to suspend her enemies and is able to perform healing magic.
