Doraemon's younger sister, Dorami lives in the 22nd-century Tokyo with Sewashi, Nobi Nobita's great-great-grandson. She is far more advanced than her older brother, but is known to be afraid of cockroaches. Her favorite food is melonpan.

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica: Akemi Homura

Akemi Homura is a magical girl who appeared to Kaname Madoka in her her dreams the day before she transferred to Madoka's school. She is beautiful, mysterious, and excels both academically and athletically, making her popular in school despite her awkward personality. Homura was later revealed to be from another timeline where she was a shy and weak transfer student before becoming a magical girl.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End: Elizabeth Swann and Jack Sparrow

In the film “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”, Jack Sparrow, Captain Barbossa, and seven other pirate lords were summoned to a Brethren Court in Shipwreck Island to address Lord Beckett’s assault on piracy. Jack was eternally imprisoned aboard the Black Pearl in Davy Jones’ Locker, and he possessed one of the nine “pieces of eight” that each pirate lord carried. Elizabeth Swann then joined Will Turner, Captain Barbossa, Tia Dalma, and Sparrow’s crew on a mission to recue their captain.

Vocaloid 2: Kamui Gakupo 03

In 2009, Gackt, the voice behind Gakupo, challenged the users of Vocaloid to a song competition using Gakupo. The grand prize winner would not only receive 10 million yen, but Gackt would also sing the song and include it in his next album if he liked it enough. The winner was announced as “Episode 0” by mathru/KanimisoP, which was released as Gackt’s 39th single on the 13th of July 2011.

Oh wow, Gackt himself cosplaying Gakupo… I think a lot of fangirls will be happy to see this. Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this!

Final Fantasy X: Shiva

The Aeon Shiva, who appears as a Macalanian priestess, was obtained by Yuna when she visited the Fayth in the Macalania Temple. Possessing the highest initial Agility and Evasion, Shiva starts out knowing only ice magic. However, she can be taught any ability provided that her summoner has all of the items necessary.

Quite a daring cosplay to wear in the Anime Expo 2011, but I suppose that makes it all the more impressive. Thanks again to Stilzkin for sending this in!

Final Fantasy X: Lulu 03

Lulu is said to be highly intelligent; one of the few Yevonites who easily questions the Yevon religion on objective terms. She was also far more accepting of Rikku’s Al Bhed nature than Wakka initially was. Before becoming Yuna’s guardian, Lulu guarded two previous summoners: Lady Ginnem and Father Zuke.

Hot Trend: Peter Pan Collars

One trend that is becoming more and more popular among a few starlets is the Peter Pan Collar. It originated from the 20th century but thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton, the trend is back on the runways and streets. Two ladies on top of this trend are British fashionista, Alexa Chung and pop-star Pixie Lott. Peter Pan collars can be very chic but I love how Alexa Chung makes it look so effortless!

In a local, Philippine convention back in 2010, there were several pretty cosplays that were submitted to Cosplay Holic, but I couldn't identify them at all. There’s not much to go on with this photo since we can’t see much of her outfit, but I’m hoping someone here was able to get a better shot (or even look) at her. The compassionate older half-sister to Ayane, Kasumi is a highly skilled kunochi fighter who often expresses a desire to avoid confrontation. She values her family and seeks to return home in peace once she avenges her brother Hayate. Kasumi doesn’t like seeing people suffer at the hands of her skills and often shows mercy even to her enemies.

Touhou Project: Izayoi Sakuya 03

Easily one of the most enigmatic characters despite appearing in so many games, Izayoi Sakuya is the Chief Maid of Scarlet Devil Mansion who has the power to stop time. Her ability is a handy way of doing large amounts of maid work in a shorter timespan. Because most of the people living or working in the mansion are maids, there are few people with more authority within the mansion than Sakuya.
