Happy Birthday to the ever so stylish Gwen Stefani. It's very hard to believe but she turned 42 this week! But I guess that's right seeing that I have been listening to her music since I was in elementary school. And since then her style has managed to evolve but yet stay the same...It's hard to describe her style but it's definitely iconic--from the red lips to platinum blond hair, the plaid accessories and baggy jeans, to the tailored jackets and leopard print gowns. Trendy or Tacky: Houndstooth Designs?

We have seen this trend before many of times. Most notably by Alexander McQueen and Gwen Stefani's LAMB, but the popular print is back on the runway thanks to Salvatore Ferragamo Resort 2012 collection. I personally like the trend but in moderation, like Selena's skirt or Ashley's clutch. But Lady Gaga took it a step further and literally covered herself from head-to-toe in the houndstooth print!
